A modern theatre designed by Tongji University Architectural Design and Research Institute (Group) Co., Ltd. integrates performance viewing, exhibition, commerce, leisure and gardening, rising as a new cultural complex on the shores of Mingyue Lake. The Yangzhou Canal Grand Theatre has a total construction area of 144,700 square metres, including a 1,600-seat opera hall, an 800-seat drama hall, a 500-seat opera theatre and a 300-seat multi-functional small theatre. The project has been completed and accepted, and will be officially opened in July 2021.
